S05E06 - Vampires of Venice

Vampires of Venice--what a great episode! Matt Smith is definitely growing on me as the Doctor now, and Karen is brilliant! Love having Rory (Arthur Darvill) as a companion now, even if at first the idea wasn’t very appealing. It makes a change to actually have a couple in the TARDIS so the female companion doesn’t fall for the Doctor as usual in New Who. The plot for Vampires was good! Fish Alien’s I’m not so sure about but they looked fantastic. Just a shame I couldn’t feel more emotionally involved with some of the characters deaths (Rosanna, Guido and Isabella, mainly).

The Doctor = Good!
Amy = FAB (“Got my spaceship, got my boys! My work here is done…”).
Rory = Lovely!
Isabella = Good (again, didn’t feel for her death).
Plot = Very good, actually!

Overall score for the episode: 7 out of 10!
